SONS was founded om 1992 by Mr. Tyrone Burrell with a vision for the City of Port Huron and its "at risk" urban youth. SONS addresses the issues of drugs, violence and crime head on with its ministry of early intervention. The organization has had a positive effect on our community for over two decades. Through organized tutoring, leadership training, Christian discipleship and some old fashioned FUN, healthy and trusting relationships are developed. The vision of SONS is to impact youth in a positive and holistic manner. The programs of SONS attempt to develop participants spiritually and socially, while focusing on academic and personal achievement.
