Food Bank of Eastern Michigan

Since 1981 the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan has vigorously pursued the mission to eradicate hunger within the community. Through a network of partner agencies, more than 331,000 people are served each year. Throughout the years the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan has been honored with many awards from Feeding America. By receiving the Excellence in Food Banking Award, the Food Bank was recognized as the number one food bank in the nation. The Food Bank has also received Model Program Awards for the BackPack program, product initiatives, agency relations, fundraising efforts and technological advancements.
