Arc of St. Clair County

The Arc St. Clair County has a rich and accomplished history thanks to the devoted family members and advocates and those we serve and have served who wanted more in their own lives. This change will further energize our mission of advocating independence and reaffirm our “commitment to promoting and protecting the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supporting their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.” The Arc serves children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We serve families by providing information, advocacy and empowerment by offering parent mentoring, support, alternatives to guardianship, Person Centered Planning, and training workshops. Assistance is provided for educational issues, such as inclusion, transition, IEP, futures planning and aid in acquiring public benefits and services. We also facilitate housing choices that support greater independence.
