To raise awareness & funds for our local community - All the money raised from our Human Breast Cancer Ribbon & Calendar go towards charities in St. Clair County to support the many women & men who are under or un-insured to pay for treatments or for mammograms. We started the Taking a Shot at Breast Cancer Calendar and Human Ribbon in 2010 after one of Emily's closest friends shared that her sister was diagnosed with stage 4 Breast Cancer. This news hit very close to home, as Emily's sister was the same age and they had been childhood friends. At that moment Emily decided she wanted to do something more and brought that news to Steve and the idea for the calendar and human ribbon were born. Over the last 6 years Emily and Steve have worked closely with the St. Clair County Community Foundation donating to different breast cancer funds. In 2014, they started their own "Taking a Shot at Breast Cancer" Fund. In November 2015, the "Taking a Shot at Breast Cancer" fund donated $10,000 to McLaren Port Huron Hospital to help jump start a new program for cancer patients receiving treatment with incidental costs. Emily and Steve are extremely grateful and humbled by the support of the community over the past 6 years and look forward to many more years of hard work and helping those in St. Clair County battle Breast Cancer!
