VNA & Blue Water Hospice offers care in-home or within a skilled nursing facility, as well as through the Blue Water Hospice Home in Marysville, Michigan. The hospice home is a dedicated home-like facility for terminally ill patients in need of expert comfort care as their illness progresses and when their own home is no longer an option. The home is situated on 30 acres of serene woodlands and next to a 2.5 acre pond featuring local wildlife. The Blue Water Hospice Home is a comfortable and personalized setting where registered nurses and support staff provide 24-hour care. All hospice services are provided under the direction of the attending physician and the hospice medical director. Hospice makes it possible for the patient and loved ones to spend final days together. Afterward, we offer ongoing support for family and friends. Hospice services (in-home and hospice Home) include: Physician services, Nurses specialized in hospice care, Wound care, Pain management, Medical social worker, Spiritual counselor, Bereavement counselor, Physical therapy, Occupational therapy, Music therapy, Ongoing bereavement care for family and friends. Features of the Blue Water Hospice Home: 1:4 staff to patient ratios, 12 private rooms, providing each patient with a “view from the pillow”, Access to a private patio with a view of the pond and wildlife, Spa and therapeutic whirlpool bath, Individually prepared meals and meal planning, Sleeping accommodations within a loved one’s room, Family room with tranquil fireplace, screened in porch, and a kitchenette for preparing light meals, A pond, landscaped gardens, and trails for meditation, reflections, and peaceful walks
